Wilma Fay Fries, 62, of Crisfield and formerly of Fredericksburg, VA, died Monday, June 2, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in Valls Creek, West Virginia on March 3, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Gratton and Eula Carter Sparks. She had been making her home in Crisfield for the past several years.

She was a retired school custodian working in several schools in Virginia.

Wilma loved gardening, flowers, quilting, and animals, especially her dog "Spike". She also loved camping and being on the water fishing, crabbing and jet-skiing.

She is survived by her husband of eight years, Ricky Fries of Crisfield; three children, Billie Jean Harris and husband Fred of Summerduck, Virginia, Bobby Cooper and wife Teresa of King George, VA and Coy Cooper and wife Jennifer of Crisfield; three step-children, Charles Austin Duggar of Savannah, Georgia, Lisa Marie Lee of Brooklet, Georgia, and Rachel Nicole Roberts of Savannah, Georgia; brothers and sisters, Carl Sparks of Thornburg, VA, Patty Price of Valls Creek, WV, Sharon Macneal of Crisfield, Carol Parks of Abbottstown, PA, Gratton Sparks, Jr. of York, PA, and Sheila Knee of Red Line, PA; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service at her home will be held at a later date.
