WILLIAM P. "BILLY" SCOTT, JR., 51, of Fruitland, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born October 22, 1955 in Crisfield, he was the only child of William P., Sr. and Ruth L. Wilson Scott. He had been a resident of Fruitland since he was a young boy.

A graduate of Bennett High School, he was an employee of Schmidt's Baking Company in Salisbury before becoming disabled.

He was an avid bowler and gun collector and enjoyed participating in all types of shooting tournaments. He was also a member of a CB Radio Club, and the Evangelical Christian Church in Fruitland.

He is survived by his maternal aunts and uncles, Rebekah Evans of Salisbury, Mary Hastings of Crisfield and Phillip Wilson of Laurel; his paternal uncles, Joe Lee Scott and Richard Scott, both of Crisfield, and Denny Scott and Eddie Scott, both of Salisbury; his special paternal aunt, Mary Ellen English of Salisbury; and numerous cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Graydon and Dorothy Wilson; his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Delsie Scott; and four uncles, Marvin Scott, Preston Scott, Harold Scott and Lake Scott.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate. Interment will be private in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
