William O'Donnell Miller, 73, of Crisfield, Maryland and formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, died Monday, May 27, 2008 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, Maryland.

He was born February 17, 1935 in Richmond, Kentucky, the second son of the late James A. Miller, Jr., and Frances Loraine O'Donnell Miller.

He was educated at the Model School of Eastern Kentucky State Teachers College, Louisville Male High School, Williston Academy, Easthampton, Massachusetts, and Yale University from which he was graduated in 1957.

He was a swimmer of some note: Kentucky State High School record holder, National prep school record holder, High School Prep School and College All American team member.

He was a member of The Elizabethan Club of Yale University, Manuscript Society, The Yale Club of New York City, and the Democratic Party.

He is survived by two sons, Timothy Branch Miller of Chicago, Illinois and Caleb Anderson Miller of Lousiville, Kentucky and two grandchildren, Franey Miller and Caleb Miller, Jr., his nephew Cabell O'Donnell Miller of Leonardtown, Maryland and his grandniece Olivia Wilkening.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Branch Cabell Miller.

A celebration of his life was held Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Watermen's Inn Restaurant in Crisfield.
