William "David" Holland, 80, of Princess Anne, MD, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, with his wife by his side, on Thursday morning September 19, 2024.

David was born on September 12, 1944, in Crisfield, MD. He was the first of three boys born to the late William "Ziggy" and Joyce (Sterling) Holland.

After graduation from Crisfield High School, he went to earn an Associate of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration at Goldey Beacom School of Business in Wilmington, DE.  He also served four years with the Army National Guard in Maryland. He was an active member in Delmarva Evangelistic Church. He was an avid hunter of deer, ducks, and geese. He also enjoyed fishing and collecting coins.

David is survived by his wife, Ellen, of 58 years; son, Jamie (Deneene) Holland of Crisfield, MD; daughter, April (Blaine) Guard of Eden, MD; daughter, Leah (Ryan) Evans of Salisbury, MD; grandchildren, Robert (Mandi) Holland, Jacob (Kali) Holland, William Holland, Austin (Kellie) Guard, and Alaina Guard; great-grandchildren, David Holland and Ava Holland; brothers, Gary (Ann) Holland, Randy (Cindy) Holland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David possessed all the Fruits of the Spirit mentioned in the Bible, "But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Galatians 5:22, 23. He will be remembered for his good nature, contagious smile, fun loving personality, and showing kindness to others. His memory and the love we once shared will forever live on in our hearts.

Friends may call on the family from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, at Crisfield Church of God, 134 Maryland Ave, Crisfield, MD. Funeral services will follow at 11:00. Pastor Michael Vaughn will officiate. After the service, David will be laid to rest in Sunny Ridge Memorial Park.
