IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Thomas
Daugherty, Jr.
January 11, 1943 – February 4, 2023
William Thomas Daugherty, Jr., 80, of Crisfield, died Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the home of his niece in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield on January 11, 1943, he was a son of the late William Thomas Daugherty, Sr. and Mary Harriett Adams Daugherty.
A graduate of Crisfield High School, he was a clerk for the Somerset County Roads Department for 43 years, retiring in 2004.
"Uncle B", as he was affectionately known by his family, was a long-time member of the Crisfield Church of God congregation for many years. He loved spending time with his family and believed in the Word of God his entire life. He loved watching sports, especially the Orioles. We will all remember him as being the most kind hearted person and we were very blessed to have him in our lives.
Although he had many family members, friends, and loved ones, he will be especially missed by his sister, Mary Louise Rubio; niece, Cristina Rubio; nephew, John William Daugherty; and nephew, Arthur R. Hancock, better known to "Uncle B" as "Rudolph". He also had several special family members that will miss him greatly, Edi Lovaton, Yitzhel Perez, Brayden Perez, Blair Hancock Mariano, Bridget Hancock, and Brooke Hancock.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, John Fletcher Daugherty; aunts, Dorothy Somers and Geraldine Rantz; and grandparents, Louise Adams, and Arthur Rudolph "Ottie Boy" Adams.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. Bob Daniels will be Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help the family may be sent to Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, 306 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
