William R. "Billy" Crockett, Jr., 52, of Crisfield, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.
Born in Crisfield on July 9, 1955, he was a son of William R. "Bill" Crockett, Sr. of Crisfield and the late Gayle Loreman Crockett, who died in 1994. He was self- employed.
Billy was a member of Faith Fellowship Assembly of God Church in Crisfield. An avid bowler, he was Capt. of his team at the Thursday Night Men's League in Pocomoke City. He collected just about everything and enjoyed yard work and gardening. He was a good mechanic who loved working on cars. He was very giving, had a loving heart, and loved his family very much.
Along with his father, he is survived by his step-mother, Glenda Crockett of Crisfield; his wife, Bonnie Johnson Crockett of Crisfield, whom he married this past Friday, June 6th; his step-daughter, Lisa Griffith and husband Ryan of Marion Station; his brother, George Barton "Bart" Crockett of Crisfield; his niece, Kelly Leigh Ann Townsend and husband, John and their son, John David, all of Crisfield; his sister, Kim Sterling and husband, Billy of Salisbury; his nephews, Kyle and Zak Sterling, of Salisbury; his step-brothers, Robley "Sonny" Rantz, Jr., John Christopher Rantz, and Glen Patrick Rantz, all of Stockton; his step-sister, Jenny Santangelo of Norristown, PA; his step-grandchildren, Rachel and Jacob Cullen; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jeff James will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
