Obituary

William Dallas Bradshaw, 89, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born on Smith Island November 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Newell James Bradshaw and the late Audrey Evans Marsh Brimer. His beloved wife of 66 years, Catherine Pruitt "KaKi" Bradshaw, preceded him in death on December 5, 2015.

He was a lifelong commercial waterman and educator for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. He was also a US Navy veteran of World War II.

Dallas was a member of Union United Methodist Church while on Smith Island, and Faith Fellowship Assembly of God once he moved to Crisfield in 1993. He was also a former member of the Chesapeake Masonic Lodge #147 AF&AM. He will be remembered for being a great storyteller and was quite the prankster. He enjoyed hunting, proging for arrowheads, and spending time with his family. He also loved the Lord and spoke of "Going Home" often in his last few months.

He is survived by two sons, Jim Bradshaw and wife Vivian and Mark Bradshaw and wife Diane, all of Crisfield; grandchildren, Rachael Bradshaw and fiancé Richard Nelson, Noelle Bradshaw, Melanie Bloodsworth, and Patricia Joyner; great-grandchildren, Brett Bloodsworth, Dustin Joyner and his wife Brandi and their daughter, Maya, and Alexys Shore; and one great grandbaby on the way; a sister, Kay Lane and husband Buddy of Crisfield; Brother-In-Law, Warren Ray Pruitt and wife Diane of Crisfield; Sister-In-Law, Mary Pruitt of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jon David Bradshaw on June 8, 1991; a sister, Hazel Marshall and husband Fred; a grandson, Timothy Mark Bradshaw on December 8, 2013; a great-granddaughter, Andrea Nichole Joyner on March 27, 2015 ; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, Stanley Pruitt, Charles Freddie Pruitt, and Frances and Charlie Marsh; and his best friends, Richard "Allan" Smith and Augustus "Gus" Ward.

Funeral services officiated by the Reverends Bob Daniels and Shaun Roberts will be Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2 PM at Faith Fellowship Assembly of God in Crisfield. A viewing will be Saturday at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home from 7-9PM. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
