William Burton "Bill" Rementer, of Crisfield, died Sunday, June 19, 2022 at his home.

Born in Lewes, Delaware on May 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Martin T. and Bessie E. Short Rementer.

Bill grew up in Delaware where he and his family raised chickens for Perdue Farms. He also worked at the Ames department store for several years, I.L. Fisher Construction Co. and Les's Towing in Crisfield, where he retired in 2019.

He loved animals especially all of his cats. Bill was happiest when he was tinkering on his tractors and cutting grass.  He could fix anything and was a simple man who didn't require a lot of material possessions.

Bill is survived by his children, Andrew, Billy, and Burton Rementer; and a host of  friends including the Outten family who thought of him as family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A private urn interment will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Georgetown, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Somerset County Humane Society, P.O. Box 493, Princess Anne, MD 21853; or to a charity of choice.
