William Edwin "Beetle" Tyler, 73, of Crisfield, died Monday, January 30, 2017 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield May 5, 1943, he was a son of the late H. Stanford and Mary Nelson Tyler. His wife of 43 years, Dianna Lynn Strobel Tyler, died December 12, 2014.

He was a maintenance worker for Somerset County Recreation and Parks. He loved hunting, woodworking, doing yard work, riding back roads, and Natural Light. He also enjoyed talking to buddies on CB radio; his handle was "Banny Rooster".

He is survived by five children, William Edwin "Beetle" Tyler, Jr. and wife Wanda of Crisfield, Lisa Tyler Linton of Greenbackville, Darrell Tyler of Hawaii, Becky Dinterman and husband Donnie of Crisfield, and Mindy Swift and husband Billy of Crisfield; three sisters, Nola Scott and husband Joe, Lottie Matthews, and Rose Ann Nelson and husband "Ackie", all of Crisfield; six grandchildren, Kylie Tyler, Koby Linton, Kayly Linton, Greg Cain, Jr., Tyler Koltuk, and LeAnna Swift; step-granddaughter, Megan Byers; seven great-grandchildren, A.J. Applegate, Ali Koltuk, Emma Cain, Hatice Koltuk, Trace Cain, Addie Cain and Siddik Koltuk; and one great-grandson on the way.

A memorial service will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 12 Noon at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Eddie Daniels will officiate. A visitation will be one hour prior.
