WILLARD E. "SONNY" LANDON, JR., 81, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his home.

Born in Crisfield on July 31, 1930, he was a son of the late Willard and Alva Wilson Landon.

He worked 20 years at Rubberset Corporation in Crisfield retiring in 1992.

A member of Mariners United Methodist Church, he loved children, going to Gordon's, gardening, and he loved the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patsy Lewis Landon, of Crisfield; two daughters, Dawn Harris and her husband Tommy and Patti Blackburn and her husband Mike of Crisfield; a sister, Myrna Evans of Crisfield; a brother-in-law, Michael Lewis of Crisfield; five grandchildren, Courtney Diggs and her husband Stacey of Crisfield, Shannon Hinman and her husband R.J. of Fruitland, Tommy Harris, Jr. of Crisfield, Michael Blackburn of Crisfield and Megan Blackburn of Crisfield; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Landon; and two sisters, Julia Evans and Shirley Landon.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11 AM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park. Pastor Todd Hurley will officiate.
