Warren Thomas Bradford, 84, of Salisbury for the past 29 years and formerly of Marion, died on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on November 18, 1924, he was a son of the late Edward and Cecile Isola Bradford.
A US Navy World War II veteran, he was a life member of the Redmen Lodge in Fruitland, and a member of the Salisbury VFW Post #194 and the Salisbury American Legion Post #64.
He is survived by his wife, Philomena "Phyllis" Brenner Bradford; eight children, Bill Bradford/Sonia of Guam, Mickey Bradford/Tammy of St. Augustine, Florida, Anne Widmann/Bill of Wisconsin, Katy Shockley of Salisbury, Frank Bradford/Lisa of Alexandria, Virginia, Alice Brumley/Jack of Princess Anne, Alfred Bradford of Marion, and John Bradford of Marion; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four siblings, Eugene Henry Bradford of Florida, James Bradford of South Carolina, Jane Gognan of Connecticut and Peter Bradford of New Hampshire.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Edward Bradford, Margaret Rose McClellan and Dorothy Gombas.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 2 PM at the Salisbury VFW Post #194. Urn interment will be at a later in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah.
