Wallace Lee Evans, 66, of Princess Anne, passed away at home on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Born in Salisbury on May 14, 1960 and raised in Princess Anne, he was a son of the late Stanley Linwood Evans and Phyllis Ann Collins.

Wally, as he was affectionately known, worked as a tugboat mate with Vane Brothers, and later at Chesapeake Shipyard in Salisbury.

Wally enjoyed boating, crabbing, fishing, hunting, bicycling, and riding his motorcycle. He also adored his late pet dog, “Snoop”. He will be remembered for his comical sense of humor, his love for his family and friends, and his passion for life.

He is survived by a brother, Gilbert Ryan Evans of Salisbury; two sisters, Bonnie Marie Evans and Julia Ann Benton, both of Princess Anne; nephews and nieces, Justin David Schirling of Princess Anne, Randy Lee Coulbourne (Paige) of Princess Anne, Ryan Wilson Evans (Stephanie) of Greenwood, DE, Larry Ray Benton of Spokane, Washington, Erin Nichole Evans of Ocean Pines, and Casie Lynn Benton of Princess Anne; one aunt; one uncle; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents and “Snoop” dog, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Matthew Allen Schirling.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Oliver T. Beauchamp American Legion Post #94 in Princess Anne on Saturday, August  15, 2026 from 2-6pm.
