Virginia M. Dize, 83, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield June 28, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Alice Brown Lane.

A graduate of Crisfield High School, she was a retired bookkeeper working many years at the former Diggs Seafood and Forbush Hardware.

She loved animals, crocheting and shopping. She was very devoted to her family and had a deep love for her husband. They were always together and never left each other's side.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Donald W. Dize of Crisfield; a daughter, Jan Sterling and her husband Mike of Crisfield; a son, Fred Dize and his companion Connie of Marion; a granddaughter, Danielle Sterling Crockett and her husband Shawn of Yorktown, VA; a great-grandson, Preston Crockett; and several nephews and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Warren Dize in 1955.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 2 Pm at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Steve Willing will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
