Virginia Crockett Culbertson, 78, of Crisfield, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at her home.

Born in Crisfield November 5, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Julia Pruitt Crockett. Her husband of 57 years, Lewis M. "Louie" Culbertson, died February 21, 2012.

She was retired from Rubberset Corp. in Crisfield, and prior, worked at the former His Nibbs garment manufacturer.

A member of the Crisfield Church of God, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching her "cowboy shows" on TV, and doing crossword puzzles and word searches. She adored her pet doggie "Shaggy".

She is survived by her children, Elsie and Johnnie Cooper of Crisfield, Lewis, Jr. and Pat Culbertson of Crisfield, Sharon and Jimmy Campbell of Pittsburgh, PA, Wayne and Janet Culbertson of Princess Anne, Patti and Larry Laird of Crisfield, Nicci and Greg Evans of Crisfield, and Debbie Tyler of Crisfield; siblings, Jack Crockett and wife Mae, Terry Crockett and wife Kitty, and Pat Culbertson and husband Lewis, Jr., all of Crisfield; 27 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Ann Culbertson; siblings, Donald Crockett, Claudia Butler, and Douglas Crockett; and her grandson, Aaron Culbertson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior. The Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate. Interment will follow in Mariners Church Cemetery.
