Vernon D. Stewart, 76, years of Eden, Maryland died Thursday January 12, 2012 in Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury, MD.

Mr. Stewart was born in Philadelphia, raised in Gibbstown and moved to Maryland over 25 years ago with his late wife, Shirley Stewart.

He retired from DuPont Chambers Works, Deepwater. Mr. Stewart liked cars, and Studebakers where his favorite. He was a master storyteller and enjoyed talking to and entertaining folks with his tales.

He is survived by his son, Stanley Stewart; his granddaughter, Michelle Mullican of Maryland; his sister, Jane Scheeper of Clayton and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday January 17, 2011 in the McBride - Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro, NJ. Friends may call Tuesday morning after 10 AM until service time. Interment will be in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
