VERNA L. HALL, 96, of Crisfield and formerly of Marumsco and Salisbury, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at her home.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia on November 17, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Carnie H. and Flora Lena Cline Poole. Her husband, Elworth R. Hall, Sr., died February 26, 1977.

She was a poultry farmer with her husband for many years. She was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, arts and crafts, crocheting, and puzzles.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Helen F. Campbell of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death her son, Elworth R. Hall, Jr.; a granddaughter, Donna Corbin; two sisters, Nellie Evans and Catherine Mundrake; and three brothers, Charlie Poole, Albert Poole and Floyd Poole.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev.'s Ruth Chamberlain, Susie Jarrett and Terry Riggin will officiate. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery.
