Toni Lynn Daugherty, age 56, of Crisfield, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Crisfield on May 10, 1969, Toni was the cherished daughter of Lynn Windsor of Marion Station and the late Jimmy Evans, Sr. A proud graduate of Crisfield High School’s class of 1987, she devoted many years to caring for the elderly, embodying kindness and compassion in all she did. Toni attended Somerset Free Methodist Church, where her brother serves as Pastor, and generously offered her time volunteering with the Humane Society of Somerset County, Maryland.
Toni’s sweet and caring spirit touched all who knew her. She was selfless, giving, and deeply loved by family and friends alike. Her affection for animals was boundless; she adored her beloved cats, "Toby Keith" and "Sambo", and relished feeding the birds, raccoons, and deer, etc. that graced her surroundings. Whether lounging by the pool, boating, riding motorcycles with her husband, or cooking, Toni found joy in simple pleasures, but above all, she treasured the moments spent with her family. She especially adored her grandchildren and delighted in family gatherings.
Toni’s warmth, generosity, and loving nature will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 23 years, Lewis M. “Bub” Daugherty; her mother and step-father, Lynn and Steve Windsor; step-father, Clarence “Bussie” Smith; her children Moosie Labo (Lindsay) and Tiffany Labo (Crystal); her step-daughter Randi Lynn Riggs (Michael); and her beloved grandchildren Philip Easton Labo, Drake Labo, Forrest Labo, Joshua Daugherty, Hunter Daugherty, Kaitlynn Riggs, Kacilynn Riggs, and Kortlynn Riggs. Toni is also survived by her siblings Pastor Jimmy Evans (Melissa), Brandi Scheper (Mark), Jaclyn Wink (C.J.), Stephanie Merson (Tom), and Alexis Bysheim (Christopher); her former daughter-in-law Jennifer DeVage and her husband Ryan; her special aunt Cindy Vessey and her family; her close friends, Nancy Rimby and her niece Karen; along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who held her dear.
Toni was preceded in death by her father Jimmy Evans, Sr.; her step-son Lewis “Bubba” Daugherty; her sister Danielle Windsor; her brother Stephen Smith: and a nephew, Kyle Edwin Evans.
A celebration of Toni’s beautiful life will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2 PM at Somerset Free Methodist Church, with visitation from 1 to 2 PM. Her brother, Pastor Jim Evans, will officiate the service.
In honor of Toni’s love for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Somerset County MD, P.O. Box 493, Princess Anne, MD 21853, in lieu of flowers.
