Obituary

Tina Evans Corbin, 62, of Tylerton, Smith Island, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield on November 5, 1963, and raised on Rhodes Point, Smith Island, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Evans and Norma Tyler Evans Marshall.

Tina was a graduate of Crisfield High School and attended the former Woodbridge Business Institute in Salisbury. She worked at the Tylerton Post Office for more than 20 years. Throughout her life, she also worked at the former Bank of Maryland in Crisfield and the Smith Island Crabmeat Co-Op.

Dedicated to serving her community, Tina was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Tylerton Fire Department and was a certified Emergency Medical Responder.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of Tylerton Church. She faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and UMW Treasurer and shared her beautiful voice by singing in the church choir and during other church services and functions. She also found comfort and joy in reading and studying the Bible, which reflected the importance of her faith in her everyday life.

In her spare time, Tina enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, collecting Hallmark ornaments, and putting together puzzles. Above all else, she treasured her family. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking meals for her family. The time she spent with her loved ones was among her greatest joys, and she will be remembered for the love she held for each and every member of her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Ronnie Corbin; her daughter, Taylor Olivia Corbin; her step-sister, Carolyn Evans (the late “Muggsy”); her step-brother, Dallas Marshall (Gayle); her brothers-in-law, Harvey Corbin (the late Dora Corbin) and Eddie Corbin (Joan); her sisters-in-law, Patty Laird (John) and Carol Ann Landon (Everett); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Frederick G. Marshall; her brother and sisters, Lenny Evans (the late Peggy), Sandra Thomas, Becky Tyler (the late Homer), and Marilyn Brimer (the late Cliff); her father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Peggy Corbin; and her stepbrothers, Russell Marshall and Philip Marshall (Cindy).

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Tylerton Church, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. The Rev. Orlando Short will officiate. Urn interment will take place at a later date in Tylerton Church Cemetery.

A special boat, the Chelsea Lane, will transport funeral passengers from Crisfield, departing at 12:30 p.m. and returning following the service. Passengers may park at the Crisfield Sunset Seafood Grille Restaurant, located at 923 Spruce Street, where the boat will be docked. Please do not park at Somers Cove Marina, as there is no access to the boat from that parking lot.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tylerton Church, Ladies Aid, Tylerton, MD 21866, or to the American Cancer Society.
