Timothy "Tim" Sterling McDorman, 86, of Crisfield, passed away at TidalHealth McCready Pavilion on Tuesday, January 6, 2025.

Born in Crisfield on August 18, 1939, he was a son of the late William Carroll and Vesta Mae Sterling Dorman.

Tim was an exceptional welder and diver and took great pride in his work. He was a member of Crisfield Church of God where he was active in "Men on a Mission". He enjoyed traveling with them on missions trips and the Church of God Children's Home in Concord, NC was especially close to his heart.

Tim loved to tinker and could fix or build anything.  He knew no stranger, had a good heart, and loved helping people.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia "Pat" Ann Fowler McDorman of Crisfield; children, Rene King and husband Michael of Salisbury, Jerry McDorman and wife Mary Jane of Bridgeville, DE, Timothy J. McDorman and wife Renee of Lincoln, DE, Mina McDorman Beck of Seaford, DE, and Sterling Brent McDorman and wife Meg of Ellicott City, MD; brothers, Dan Dorman, David Dorman, and Ladell Dorman and wife Sharon, all of Crisfield; 37 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Timothy Sterling McDorman, Jr. and John Carroll McDorman; and siblings, Jerry McDorman, Joyce McMasters, Leon McDorman, and Donna Cox.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Crisfield Church of God at 1 PM with a viewing from 12-1 PM. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
