Obituary

Thomas Hall Wallace, Jr., 66, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Born in Baltimore on April 30, 1951, he was a son of the late Thomas Hall Wallace and Loretta Friedley Adcock.

He was a decorated US Army Veteran and Green Beret who served in the Vietnam War.  He received many decorations, medals, badges, commendations and citations including three Purple Hearts, Bronze Star with "V" Device, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf, Vietnam Silver Star, and Combat Infantry Badge.  He was also published in the "Congressional Record" for Heroism for saving 78 lives in one single day.

After his military years, he was self employed and worked as a carpenter and contractor.  He loved and took great pride in his work.  He was a faithful member of the Crisfield Church of God and co-founded "Men on a Mission."  He would volunteer for every church event and would help with whatever was needed.  In his retirement he also dedicated his time to Church of God Childrens Home of NC.  He was a kind soul who was always willing to help someone and will forever be remembered for his selflessness.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas Hall Wallace, III and his children, Destiny Sade Wallace, Tyler Quinton Moffitt, and Thomas Hall Wallace, IV, and Robert Lee Wallace and his children, Robert Lee Wallace, Jr., Tia Wallace, and Tre Wallace; a daughter, Shauna Norris Adams; step-children, Amanda Lynn Richards, Gabrielle Marie Blades, Brion Perry Blades, Jr., and Samantha Cimpher; siblings,  Danny Wallace, William Wallace, Michael Adcock, Charles Adcock, Sr., Carol Brown, Donna Wallace, Earl Wallace, and Stephen Wallace; former wife and caregiver, Mary Annette Nelson and her husband Danny Mark Nelson; a special niece that was like a granddaughter, Kayla Wallace; special friends, David "Wattball" Watson and David Richards; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wallace and a sister, Karen Wallace.

Services will be held at the Crisfield Church of God on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 3 PM where viewing will be held an hour prior.  Pastor John Kalfayan will officiate the service.  An interment with full military honors will follow at American Legion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of God Childrens Home of NC, 3485 Orphanage Circle, Concord, NC 28025.
