Obituary

Thelma J. Dunn, 72, of Crisfield, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at McCready Memorial Hospital.

Born in Crisfield July 22, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Virgie Elizabeth Howard Johnson. Her husband, William F. Dunn, preceded her in death October 22, 1991.

A graduate of Marion High School, she was a retired dietary supervisor at McCready Hospital.
She was a member of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church in Crisfield. She enjoyed reading, word searches, gardening, and spending time with her grandbabies.

She is survived by four children, Kenneth Dunn and wife Brenda of Fruitland, Kathy Thomas and husband Billie of Crisfield, Karen Sterling and husband Jason of Crisfield, and Krista Evans and husband Brad of Manheim, PA; an adopted son, Billy Gannon of Crisfield; her sister, Agnes Lewis of Crisfield; three brothers, Frank Johnson of Crisfield, David Johnson of Delmar, and Philip Johnson of Salisbury; seven grandchildren, Heather Williams and Christopher Dunn, both of Fruitland, Catherine Thomas of Crisfield, Tawna Thomas of Pittsville, Alexis Hunter of Orange, VA, Madison Thomas of Crisfield, and Brooklyn Gannon of Crisfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Johnson, and a sister, Molly Johnson.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Terry Riggin will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8. Interment will be in Quinton Cemetery in Pocomoke City.
