TERRY PRESTON SCHWEIZER, 54, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey and formerly of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 4, 2007.

Born in Crisfield on August 8, 1952, he was a son of Rose Dize Messick of Mt. Vernon.

He attended Crisfield Elementary School and later graduated from Oakcrest High School in New Jersey. He was a retail supervisor and a member of the Church of God in Millville, New Jersey. He loved singing hymns and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Schweizer of Tuckerton, NJ; his mother, Rose Dize Messick of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Christian, Jonathan, and Benjamin Schweizer; two sisters, Wanda Emely and husband David of Kingston and Debbie Labo and husband Wayne of Crisifeld; two brothers, William Schweizer, III and Jerry Messick, Jr., both of New Jersey; a special cousin, Mabel Knierim of Marion; half brothers and sister, David Schweizer, John Schweizer, William Thomas Schweizer, Eddie Schweizer and Katie Turcol; two step-sons; four step-grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by the Rev Jerry Messick whom he lovingly called "Dad", and also his father, William Schweizer, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Phillip Morris will officiate and will be assisted by the Rev. Tim Shawyer. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield.
