Terry Lee Howard, 75, of Marion Station, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

She was born in Crisfield on September 20, 1947 and was a daughter of the late Leroy Ernest Pusey and Shirley June Sterling Pusey.

A graduate of Crisfield High School, she was a registered nurse and retired teacher.  Most of her nursing career was devoted to psychiatric and hospice nursing, lastly working for Coastal Hospice from which she retired. Terry obtained a Masters in Education and her teaching career was devoted mainly to developmentally and intellectually challenged children at the Holly Center and eventually with Somerset County Public Schools at Sarah Peyton School where she later retired.

She enjoyed reading, playing games on her devices, and pets. She also enjoyed traveling, and especially enjoyed her travels to Scotland.

She is survived by her daughters, Hope Shores of Crisfield, Jodi Howard/Derik Mister of Marion, and Stephanie Howard/Mike McFarland of Hebron; grandchildren, Noah Shores of Westover, Darin Mister of Salisbury, Grant Mister of Marion, and Kyle Lewis of Hebron; nephews, Josh and Zachary Sodergren of Pocomoke; and several close friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sherri Sodergren and Jerry Lynn Pusey; and son-in-law, Russell Shores.

Graveside services officiated by Rev. Howard Travers will be held at Sunnyridge Memorial Park on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11 AM.
