Teresa Ellen Thomas, 63, of Crisfield and formerly of Tangier Island, VA, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at her home. She had been making her home in Crisfield for the past seven years.

Born on Tangier Island on June 27, 1961, she was a daughter of the late George and Leah Laird Abraham.

Teresa was a homemaker and a member of Swain Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved gardening and working in her yard.  She loved people and would talk to anybody. Everyone was always welcome in her home; she always had food for them, enjoyed their company, and treated them well. She always made it feel like you were welcome there. She always was able to find the best in everyone. She loved her family and thought the world of them. She always wanted to spend time with family no matter what.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Gladstone Thomas of Crisfield; children, Candice Annette Thomas (William Bowyer) of Salisbury and James Scott "Scotty" Thomas of Crisfield; brothers, Randy Abraham of Westmont, New Jersey and Timothy Abraham of Cheriton, VA; grandchildren, Hallie Daley, Tara Daley, and Gregory James Parks; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Kevin Abraham and Susie Abraham.

Memorial services will be held at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10 AM. The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM. Elder Duane Crockett will officiate the service.
