CRISFIELD
TAMARA "TAMMY" WARD, 57, of Crisfield, died Friday, October 27, 2006 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.
Born in Salisbury on October 8, 1949, she was the daughter of Iva Jean Lawson Somers of Crisfield and the late Carlton Lorenzo Tawes.
A homemaker, she was a 1967 graduate of Crisfield High School and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Crisfield.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 17 years, Rick Ward of Crisfield; two daughters, Jeana Jones of Crisfield and Lara Sterling of North Carolina; two sons, Eric Jones and his wife Windi of Tennessee and Ricky Ward of Crisfield; one step-daughter, Mindy Lewis and her husband Gavin of Arizona; 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Eric, Rachel, Jessica, Taylour, Addison, Lauren, Jonathan, David, Damon and Penelope; one brother, Les Pruitt and his wife Jane of Crisfield; her mother, Iva Jean Somers of Crisfield; and a special friend, Angie Colona of Crisfield.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where the family will receive friends one hour prior. The Rev. Steve Willing will officiate.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be sent to Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad, LSCARS, P.O. Box 406, Crisfield, Maryland 21817.
