Suzanne V. (Sue) Ward, 67, of Crisfield, died on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at her home.

Born in Crisfield June 6, 1943 she was the daughter of the late E. Dewey Evans and Estelle Venable Evans. Her husband, Thomas S. Ward died May 30, 2001.

Sue was a retired cashier with Super Giant in Salisbury, and then owned and operated the former Country Peddler in Crisfield.

Surviving are three children, Thomas Michael Ward and Fiancée Michelle Powell of Mardela Springs, Mark C. Ward of Crisfield, and Debra Collins and husband David of Gumboro, DE; a sister, Diane Hinman of Crisfield; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Ward, Joshua Ward, and Christine Ward; 2 great-grandchildren, Taylor Ward and Jenna Ward. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Payne and a brother, Bob Evans.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jerry Hughes will officiate.
