Suzanne D. Payne, 86, of Salisbury and formerly of Crisfield, went home to be with The Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024 from TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Crisfield on August 17, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Lionel Warren Daugherty and Ethel Beatrice Pruitt Daugherty of Crisfield.  Her husband of 68 years, Charles James "Chick" Payne, preceded her in death on November 22, 2023.

Suzanne was retired from the Motor Vehicle Administration where she worked in Salisbury for 25 years.  She also owned and operated a restaurant named Sue's Kitchen in Salisbury for four years.

She became a member of the Crisfield Church of God in 1965, serving in different capacities and more recently she attended Victory Tabernacle Church of God in Laurel, DE.

Suzanne is survived by two sons, Russell Warren Payne and his wife Julie and Ronnie Lee Payne and his wife Melodye; two daughters, Debra Sue Lowe and her husband Chris and Tresa Lynn Parker; one grandson, Ronnie Lee Payne, Jr.; three granddaughters, Crystal Payne, Christina Lowe, and Tabatha Payne; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jackie Lowe.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles James Payne, Jr.; a sister, Faye Dorman; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Parker.

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Stacey Johnson will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield at 1 PM where a viewing will be one hour prior.  Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
