Steven Douglas Long, Sr., age 61, passed away suddenly at his home in Palm Bay, FL on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Born in Crisfield, MD on September 15, 1957, Steve was the son of Sandra Covington Riggin of Crisfield and the late Bobby Frances Long of Clarksville, TN, and originally from Crisfield.

Steve was preceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Clarence and Aldeen Long of Crisfield, and his maternal grandparents DQ "Dick" and Eleanor Covington of New Port Richey, FL.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Voyles Long, a son, Steven Douglas Long, Jr. of Palm Bay, FL and a step-mother Joyce Long of Clarksville, TN.

Other survivors include two brothers, William Roy Riggin, Jr. and his wife Kim of Salisbury, MD, Bobby Frances Long Jr. and wife of Clarksville, TN, uncles Thomas Long and wife Janet of Salisbury, MD, Ronald Covington of New Port Richey, FL, and Gene Ennis and wife Shirley of Crisfield. He is also survived by one nephew, Nathan Riggin of Salisbury; mother in law, Sue Voyles, and a brother in law, Scott Voyles.

Steve graduated from Crisfield High School and then joined the US Army, attended Ranger School, and was stationed at Ft Stewart, GA. A long time employee of Harris Electronics, Steve later, and was currently, a long haul trucking owner-operator. Steve had a larger than life personality. He shared a big smile with everyone he met. Steve will be sorely missed.

Arrangements are being handled in Palm Bay, Florida.
