Sibyl M. Coulbourne, 75, of Crisfield, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on October 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Luther Hill Matthews and Metta Dishman Matthews.
A graduate of Crisfield High School, she was a retired secretary for the Somerset County Board of Education retiring June 30, 1999. She was active in the Board of Education Retiree Program and served as school bus aid until 2014.
She was a member of Living Hope Ministries of the Eastern Shore and she enjoyed going to gospel concerts, traveling, and planting flowers. She loved spending time with her grandkids and her pet dog "Boots".
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Tinker Coulbourne of Crisfield; three children, Bonnie Jean Barnes and husband Joe of Marion, Roger Dize of Princess Anne, and Steve Dize and girlfriend LeeAnn Hill of Princess Anne; three step-daughters, Terri Milbourne and husband Mike, Tammi Reynolds, and Traci Tyler and husband Chris, all of Crisfield; 12 grandchildren, Adam and Naomi Barnes, Andrew, Katelyn and Alex Dize, Laurie Marshall, Preston "Bart" Thomas, Perry Dorman, Jr., Tyler Ryan, Walt Baker, David Barone, and Cody Tyler; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her half sister, Vivian E. Tyler in 1992.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. LeBron Palmer will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing will be Wednesday evening from 7-9. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
