Shirley Yvonne Sterling, 85, of Crisfield, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Wachapreague, VA on May 18, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Wesley Tyler and Nellie Kate Wolfe Tyler.  Her husband, Randall Delano "Tucker" Sterling, died December 25, 2013.

For many years she was a bookkeeper for her father's seafood business, Lawrence Tyler Oyster Company, and most recently was a Teacher's Aid in the Somerset County School System.

Shirley devoted her life to her family and helping animals.

She is survived by her daughter, Tempie Bishop Bonaparte of Crisfield; grandson, Jeremy Steven Bishop of Crisfield; and great-grandsons, Isaiah Lewis Bishop and Cooper Charles Bishop.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
