Obituary
Shirley R. Beauchamp, 83, of Crisfield, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield on September 10, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Elsie Mae Sterling Beauchamp.
Shirley graduated from Crisfield High School in 1949 and Goldey Beacom Business College in Wilmington, DE in 1951.
She worked at the former Charles D. Briddell, Inc. in Crisfield until December 1958, then relocated to NYC and worked at their sales office. She then worked at YWCA of the City of New York as Executive Assistant until her retirement in September 1986, and returned to her home of Crisfield.
A member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Crisfield, she enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, and entertaining.
She is survived by two very special cousins, Donna and Bradley Long of Crisfield; her cousin-in-law, Georgianna Hayman of Crisfield; as well as other cousins, though not mentioned by name, were highly regarded.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first cousin, Donald Hayman in 2001.
Graveside services and interment will be Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11 AM in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
