Sharon Ann Bell, 72, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Baltimore on February 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Leona McAleer Thompson. Her husband, William Oscar Bell, preceded her in death on December 15, 1994.

Mrs. Bell devoted her life to caring for disabled adults and children. She worked many years at Somerset Community Services, and most recently at Dove Pointe. She was proud of the difference she made in the lives of those she cared for.

She is survived by her children, Bob Bell and wife Kim of Arlington, TX, Denise Albrecht of Crisfield, Sharon Richards and husband Junior of Crisfield, and Tammy Kernan of Pennsylvania. She was also survived by many foster children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald M. Thompson, John Oliver Thompson, and William H. Thompson, Jr.

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Tom Hodges will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing will be one hour prior. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion.
