Sarah Landon Westbrook, 92, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Iva, SC surrounded by her loving family.

Sarah was born on November 29, 1928 in Crisfield, MD, the daughter of Herman Landon and Grace Matthews Landon and sister to Charles Landon and William Landon. She married Charles Westbrook on June 22, 1945, in her beloved Crisfield.

Sarah earned her CNA and worked for the State of Maryland for several years, caring for people in their homes. She loved the Baltimore Ravens, penguins, and shopping with her family. She was an extremely active MomMom and never missed an opportunity for volleyball, basketball, and roller-skating with the kids. Sarah was passionate, independent, incredibly strong, and quick-witted.

She was preceded in death by parents, Herman Landon and Grace Matthews Landon; brother Charles Landon; and husband Charles Westbrook.

She is survived by brother, William Landon; daughter, Patricia Westbrook Strickland (Bob); son, Charles Westbrook, Jr (Donna); grandchildren, Kim Strickland Burris (Anthony), Tammy Strickland Taylor (Jason), Jim Strickland (Tracy), Tara Westbrook, Charles Westbrook (Darlene), Stacy Westbrook (Robert), and Danielle Westbrook House (Mike); great-grandchildren, Shannon (Aaron), Kyle, Brieanna, Morgan, Austin, Brandon, Cheyanne, Robbie, Chloe (Logan), Aaron (Jewelie), Saralynn, Kailani, Wyatt, Skye, Jace, Gage, Eli, Dallas; great-great-grandson, Aiden; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2 PM. A viewing will be held before the service from 1-2. Rev. Jim Evans will be officiating and interment will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Crescent Hospice, 305 W. Beltline Blvd., Anderson, SC 29625.
