Sarah Frances Johnson, 88, of Crisfield, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born in Crisfield January 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Swift and Vernetta Ann Cox Swift. Her husband, Carl P. Johnson, died on May 20, 2012. She was a retired seamstress for several clothing factories in Crisfield.
She was a member of the Faith Fellowship Assembly of God Church in Crisfield for many years.
Surviving is a daughter, Lynn Nelson of Crisfield; grandchildren, Charles McDorman (Jenny) of Marion, Jordan Wayne Labo, Jr. of Whaleyville, Danielle Evans of Princess Anne, and Sarah Nelson of Marion; great-grandchildren, Jacqueline Labo, Lindsey Labo, Jason Filmore Evans, II, Allahia Pilkerton, Mikayla Sterling, Madison McDorman, and Marley McDorman; a brother, Donald Swift, of Crisfield.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Tutor" McDorman, a brother, George Swift, and a sister, Mabel Dryden.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield. Pastor Steve Willing will officiate.
