Sandra "Sandy" Fay Sturgis, 59, of Crisfield, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Washington, DC on December 23, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Robert Earl and Gloria Fay Evans Ford.

A graduate of Crisfield High School Class of 1981, she was a Registered Nurse working at both the former McCready Memorial Hospital and the former Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

She enjoyed being a Registered Nurse; helping people and saving lives was her passion. She loved raising her children and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll Johnson Sturgis, II; daughters, Jessica Koltuk and Kristina Arndt/Nick Miller; grandchildren, Zeynep, Melike, Fatih, Christopher, and Bodhi; close special cousins, Sonny Ford, Tonya Howell, Krissy Lawson and their families; and many other special cousins and relatives.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Harte "Robbie" Sturgis who passed away on February, 16, 2020.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 2 PM at Living Hope Ministries of the Eastern Shore. Rev. LeBron Palmer will be officiating.
