Obituary
RUTH W. ISIMINGER, 91, of Norfolk and formerly of Crisfield, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, she was raised in Crisfield, the daughter of the late Harry and Elata Whelton.
A graduate of Crisfield High School, she worked for civil service as a phone operator for more than 25 years.
She is survived by two sons, James Whelton Isiminger and wife Joyce of Boston and Howard Judson Isiminger of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Sandy Isiminger and Franklin Isiminger; and nieces and nephews, Josephine Nelson and her children, Bonnie Bradshaw, Lewis Nelson, Doug Nelson, and Beth Whitelock, and families, all of Crisfield/Marion, and Marilyn Henderson and family of Pennsylvania.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a half sister, Gwen Nelson, and a half brother, Howard Henderson.
A funeral service was conducted Monday, April 20, 2009 in Norfolk.
