Obituary

Russell Norwood Harrison, 67, of Marion, died Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Born in Baltimore on June 10, 1955 and raised in Crisfield, he was the son of the late James F. Harrison, Sr. and Maybelle Sterling Harrison.

He was a life-long carpenter and part owner of Coastal Construction and R & L Construction.  His work was his passion and he was project manager for numerous projects including Mallard Landing and Summer's Gate in Salisbury.  Over the years he enjoyed scuba diving, 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing, boating and traveling.  He also was a boat builder and was a member of the Crisfield Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pilkerton Harrison of Marion; children, Julie Brittingham and husband Tim and Russell Harrison, II and wife Amanda, all of Marion; brother, Larry Harrison and wife Patti of Westover; sister, Sharon Corbin of Crisfield; grandchildren, Chelsea Corbett and husband Dane of Ocean Pines, Autumn Brittingham of Smithfield, VA, Austin Brittingham of Suffolk, VA, Brittany Thomas of Delmar, Bethany Harrison of Marion, and Nicole Harrison of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James F. "Jimmy" Harrison, Jr.

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Dave Dunn will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 12 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior.  Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad, LSCARS, P.O. Box 406, Crisfield, MD 21817.
