Ruby Fay Bounds, 86, formerly of Princess Anne, died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury.

Born in Mt.Vernon on February 19, 1929, she was a daughter of the late S. Joseph Bounds and Anna R. Dilley Bounds.

A retired registered nurse, she was a graduate of Cabarrus Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Concord, NC. She was a registered nurse there until 1958, and later retired from Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by a niece, Janet Sue Gandy of Kannapolis, NC; a nephew, Joseph Bryan Tarlton of Arizona; and great nieces and nephews, Snoa Gail Garrigan of Greensboro, NC, Bonnie Ann Howard of Atlanta, GA, Jennifer Elyse Gandy of China Grove, NC, Samuel Joseph Tarlton of Carrboro, NC, Henry David Tarlton of Durham, NC, and Richard Thomas Tarlton of Charlotte, NC; and several cousins.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2 PM at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne.
