Ronald Dean "Ronnie" Parks, 64, of Westover, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.
Born on Tangier Island, Virginia, he was a son of the late William Ray Parks and Albert Parks Hauld. His wife, Norma Jean "Jeannie" Parks, died August 28, 1997.
He worked at the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchens in Crisfield for 25 years until their closing, then at the former Campbell's Soup Company until their closing. Most recently he worked in the stock room at Wal-Mart.
He attended the Crisfield Wesleyan Church, and loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and watch movies.
He is survived by his son, Michael Parks of Westover; his brother, Philip Parks and wife Marlene of Princess Anne; his nieces and nephew, Natalie Renee Parks and Bethanie Renee Parks, both of Princess Anne, Kimberly Parks of Westover, Patrick Parks of New York, and Nicole Dorsey of South Carolina; a cousin, Jean Crockett of Tangier; and his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl Yoder, Elsie Harr and husband Jim, Becky Nelson, Alberta Willing and husband Pete, and Mary Evans and husband Curtis.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Emory and Viola Yoder; and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Migala and Ethel Williams.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
