Obituary

ROLLINS TULL BRADSHAW, 87, died following an extended struggle with Parkinson's disease, on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, with his wife of 64 years, Lucille, by his side.

Born in Crisfield on May 15, 1922, he was a son of the late Florence and Captain Kia Bradshaw of Smith Island. He was raised and lived almost his entire life on River Road in Kingston, Maryland. He had been making his home in Hebron for the past several years.

Mr. Bradshaw was a graduate of Marion High School and served during WWII as an officer and bombardier with the US Army. He was a Deacon and a devoted long-time member of the Marion Baptist Church in Marion, Maryland.

He was manager of the former Bata Shoe Store in Crisfield for 13 years, and manager of the former Sears Catalog Store in Crisfield for 9 years. He was also a farmer, chicken grower, and decoy carver since the early 1960's.

Mr. Bradshaw is survived by his wife, Lucille Harper Bradshaw of Hebron and formerly of Kingston; a son, Dennis Rollins Bradshaw and wife, Mary, of Salisbury and their children Jessica Bradshaw, Wendy Cialkowski, and Edwin Horner, III. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Stephanie Bradshaw and Melanie Bradshaw of Hallwood, Virginia and Kristen DiCintio and her husband Dennis of Fruitland; a sister, Janet Chimento of Genesee, Pennsylvania; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Clarice Bradshaw; two sons, Ronnie Harper Bradshaw and Jerry Sterling Bradshaw; five brothers, Percy, H.K. Jr., Roger, Phillip and Fred Bradshaw; and four sisters, Stella Evans, Pauline Danellio, Clarice Sterling and Novella Giordano.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 3 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Joe Barnes will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
