Rollin Jennings Searfoss, 85, of Crisfield, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at his home.

Born in Freemansburg, Pennsylvania on August 25, 1926, he was the son of the late Stanley and Florence Johnson Searfoss. Rollin and his wife Jean lived in Pennsylvania for 40 years and moved to Maryland in 1988 after they retired.

"Rollie" or "Rol", as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, retired in 1976 after working 33 years with Bethlehem Steele.

He was a US Army veteran of World War II, member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield, and Crisfield AARP.

He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Jean Metzler Searfoss of Crisfield; two daughters, Nancy Smoker and her husband Rich of Marion and Bonnie Dickson of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Kim Gilson will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 11, 2012 at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield.
