Roland Lee Landon, 89, of Salisbury and formerly of Baltimore, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his home. He had been making his home in Salisbury for the past three years.
Born on February 22, 1932 in Crisfield, he was a son of the late Lloyd McKinley Landon and Lula Regina Ross Landon. His wife of 58 years, Rachael Seyda Landon, preceded him in death in 2011.
He was a graduate of Crisfield High School and served his country in the US Army. He was a retired salesman working at Sears for many years. Following retirement he was a school bus driver for special needs children in Baltimore County.
A member of Life Source Church of God in Baltimore, Roland enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and loved being on the water. He loved his dogs and considered them his children.
He is survived by his brothers-in-law, David Seyda/Eula of Florida and Robert Seyda, Jr./Aurora "Rorie" of California; sisters-in-law, Joan Cloud/Douglas of Marion, and Patsy Seyda and Debbie Wessells, both of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Landon; and his in-laws, Betty Landon, Richard and Lillian Seyda, Esther and Chuck Hennessee, and Daniel Seyda.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Robert Seyda Scholarship Fund. Make checks payable to Crisfield Church of God with Robert Seyda Scholarship Fund on the memo line, and send to the address, 134 Maryland Ave, Crisfield, MD 21817.
