Roger Lynwood Butler, 87, of Princess Anne, MD passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin.
Born in Pocomoke City on April 2, 1930, he was the son of the late Roger H. and Birdie Mae Burke Butler. His wife, Claudia A. Crockett Butler preceded him in death on November 28, 2008.
A member of Crisfield Church of God, he was a Heavy Equipment Operator that worked in Construction for 20 years and was a Poultry Farmer for 26 years. He loved hunting and gardening and he also enjoyed raising beagles and fox hounds.
He is survived by his children, Betsy Jo Whaley, Roger Lynwood "Woody" Butler, Jr., Diane Ballard, Richard Butler, Shawn Butler, and Dean Butler; step-daughter, Julia Anne Applegate; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Mae Butler.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Bob Daniels will be Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing will be one hour prior. Urn interment will be at a later date in Beechwood Cemetery.
