Roger Wayne Bestry, age 68, died at his residence on Saturday, May 6, 2017.  He had suffered with lung and heart disease for years.

Born on August 31, 1948, he was a son of the late Martin Richard Bestry, Sr. and Edith Gandy Bestry.  He worked in Realty and Antiques until retiring and moving to Crisfield.

Along with his mother, he is survived by his friend Daniel Caldwell of Crisfield; a brother, Martin Richard Bestry, Jr. of Crisfield; a sister and brother-in-law, Leonard and Marsha Malecki of Winter Springs, FL; a nephew, Dean Donovan Pruitt of Austin, Texas; and a dearly beloved cousin, Mailene Kelly of Baltimore, MD, who was taking care of him with Coastal Hospice of Salisbury, MD when he passed.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oliver and Marion Gandy and a niece, Tony Alexis Pruitt.

Roger was cremated and will be laid to rest at Sunnyridge Memorial Park after a graveside ceremony on July 2, 2017 at 2 PM.
