Robert Francis Zerbe, 67, of Crisfield and formerly of Vernon, NJ, passed away at his home on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Born in Chicago, IL on June 22, 1955, he was a son of the late Edward and Cecily Swabb Zerbe.

Robert was a retired Software Engineer and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University in New Jersey. When living in New Jersey, he attended St. Joseph's Church where he sang in the choir for many years. After moving to Crisfield, he attended St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Westover, where he was a member and served as treasurer of the Knights of Columbus.

Robert loved the game of baseball and played on a league for many years. He also loved music and played acoustic guitar. He was a train enthusiast and had his own extensive model train display.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Kathryn Forcier Zerbe of Crisfield; daughter, Erica Allison Zerbe of Seattle, WA; step-sons, John Richard Chasmar and wife Brianna and Robert Walter Chasmar and wife Samantha, all of Pennsville, NJ; brothers, Brennan Zerbe and wife Marilyn of San Francisco, Jack Zerbe and partner Ryan Margeim of Omaha, NE, and Doug Zerbe and wife Valinda of Dade City, FL; grandchildren, Madison Chasmar, John Chasmar, Kaydance Chasmar, and Robert Chasmar; and two nephews, Gavin Zerbe and Devan Zerbe.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Allison Zerbe.

A celebration of his life, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Westover, will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11 AM.
