Obituary

Robert Ronald "Ronnie" Mrohs, 77, of Crisfield, died Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield October 10, 1944, he was a son of the late Robert Mrohs, Jr. and Betty Jane Ward Mrohs.

He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1962 and retired owner/operator of the family business, Mrohs Gas, Inc.  He was also a US Air Force veteran.

He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Crisfield where he served as Deacon and Trustee, and most recently was a member of the Crisfield Wesleyan Church.  Ronnie was also a Charter Member of Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad and was a 50 year Life Member of the Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department where he was engineer for many years.

Ronnie was an avid bowler and was known as "The Gas Man" in his league. He was a talented handyman who loved home improvement projects and working in his yard.  He also enjoyed baseball and watching The Andy Griffith Show and Westerns on TV.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Mrohs of Crisfield; three children and their spouses, Mike and Lori Mrohs of Salisbury, Robbie and Jennifer Mrohs of Crisfield and Kristen and Edwin Miles of Crisfield; grandchildren, Amanda and Connor Mrohs of Salisbury, Anabelle and Theron Mrohs of Crisfield, and Adriana and Alayna Miles of Crisfield; three brothers and their spouses, Steve and Millie Mrohs, and Danny and Laura Mrohs, all of Crisfield, and Doug and Kim Mrohs of Westover; his previous wife and mother of his children, Toni Lewis Mrohs of Crisfield; special cousins, Wes and Betsy Butler, Ann Butler, and Linda Jane Walston, all of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Caroline Mrohs in 2000.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Robert Daniels and Fire Department Honors by the Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department will be held at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 11 AM. Viewings will be held at the funeral home Monday evening, April 11, 2022 from 6-8 PM and an hour before the funeral service on Tuesday. Interment with military honors will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park and be officiated by Rev. Stephen Willing.
