Obituary

FRENCHTOWN

ROBERT WILSON MEREDITH, 72, of Frenchtown, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born April 16, 1934 at home in Frenchtown, he was a son of the late Dulaney and Lena French Meredith.

He was a life-long waterman who enjoyed being on the water in his boat.

He was a faithful member of Eastern Shore Evangelistic Church in Marion Station where he was part of a loving and caring church family. He cherished his special friendship with Rev. Jerry Hughes and his family through the years. He enjoyed going to church, family dinners, and playing with his great-grandchildren. His friendly smile and endearing ways will be missed by his many friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Ward Meredith of almost 53 years. They would have celebrated their anniversary on December 31st.

Left to cherish his memories are two daughters, Robin Bolden and her husband Carter of Princess Anne and Lori Fields and her husband Donald of Allen; four granddaughters, Stephanie Green of Roanoke, Virginia, Renee Bolden, his special nurse and caregiver, of Salisbury, Pamela Price of Laurel, Delaware and Dawn Turner of Nanticoke; five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Riley, Taylor, Sydney, and Erynn; one sister, Gertrude Parks and her husband Nevitt, with whom he shared a close relationship, of Rumbley; a brother-in-law, Emory Ford of Upper Fairmount; a sister-in-law, Julia Meredith of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther French and Ann Ford; and one brother, Bill Meredith.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2006 at 2 PM at Eastern Shore Evangelistic Church in Marion Station. The Rev. Jerry Hughes will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield, Sunday from 3 - 5 P.M.
