CRISFIELD

Robert P. "Bobby" Hinman, 79, of Crisfield, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at his home.

Born November 29, 1931 in Crisfield he was the son of the late Preston Hinman and Emma Trader Hinman. He had a proud work record working 20 years each for the former Carvel Hall Cutlery and the Rubberset Co. (now Sherwin-Williams), both in Crisfield. Bobby served in the Maryland National Guard for 9 years and attended Asbury United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nellie Smith Hinman; children, James Johnson and wife Mary Anne of Salisbury, Tammie Johnson and friend Buddy of Deal Island, Robert (Bobby) Hinman, Jr. and Fiance Patty Armstrong of Crisfield, Lisa Forbush and husband Mike of Marion Station, Rebecca Hinman of Dover, DE, and Christina Hinman and Fiance Kurt of Mount Dora, FL; sister, Lois Matthews of Crisfield, a brother, Donnie Hinman and wife Pat of Cocoa Beach FL. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews, and his friends at Gordon's Confectionery

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Audrey Ward and Mary Swift, and four brothers, Sammy Hinman, Dickie Hinman, Billy Hinman, and Harold Hinman.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 2 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield with the Rev. Robert Daniels officiating. There will be no public viewing.
