Richard Glenn Guido, 80, of Crisfield and formerly of Fort Washington, died Monday, October 19, 2020 at McCready Memorial Hospital. He had been making his home in Crisfield for the past 5 ½ years.
Born in Washington, DC on August 18, 1940, he was a son of the late Lewis and Ellen Elizabeth Dettmer Guido.
He was a retired upholsterer working for himself and many years at the family business, Guido's Upholstery, in Capital Heights. He was a graduate of Bladensburg High School and a United States Navy veteran serving from 1959-1961.
He was an avid animal lover and adored his Boston Terriers, "Queenie" and "Boomer" and his Yorkiepoo, "Gatsby". He also loved to cook and in his younger years he liked to hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Jean Kline Guido of Crisfield; children, Richard "Ricky" Guido, Jr. of Baltimore and Jason Robinett of Mechanicsville, VA; a sister, Delores Kruczek of LaPlata; his mother-in-law, Florence Kline of Crisfield; and nieces, Connie Morgal-Sorman of Pennsylvania, Shannon Kelley of LaPlata, Donna Webb of Mechanicsville, MD, and Terry Roy of Virginia.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Guido, Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Thomas Kruczek.
A memorial service and urn entombment with military honors will be held at a later date.
