Richard Wayne "Dickie" Sterling, 74, of Marion Station, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield on February 6, 1944, he was a son of the late Earl and Doris Warwick Sterling.
He was a member of Crisfield High School class of 1962, and was a US Air Force veteran. He worked as a truck driver and waterman for many years.
He was a life member of the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044, and was a member of the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion in Crisfield. He loved to fish and was an avid NASCAR Dale Earnhardt fan and an avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Marie Crabb and husband Kerry of Willow, Alaska; two brothers, Earl Sterling and wife Mary Ann and Herbie Sterling, all of Crisfield; three grandchildren, Ryan Dunham, Cody Dunham and wife Sarah, and Ryland Dunham, all of Alaska; a nephew, Craig Scott Sterling and wife Tina of Anna, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service with military honors will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a visitation will be from 1:30-2 PM. The Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coastal Hospice at the Lake, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
